Hunter Valley wine tours by private coach
Cellar doors, a long lunch and a driver to bring everyone home. The Hunter is made for group travel.
Australia’s oldest wine region
The Hunter Valley, centred on Pokolbin and Cessnock, is around two to two and a half hours north of Sydney. It is home to well over a hundred cellar doors, along with restaurants, cheese and chocolate makers and the Hunter Valley Gardens.
Why groups take a coach
Wine tasting and driving do not mix. A private coach or minibus means everyone can enjoy the tastings, and the group moves between cellar doors together without anyone having to stay sober to drive.
A typical day
- Morning departure from Sydney via the M1 Pacific Motorway
- Two or three cellar door tastings around Pokolbin
- A long lunch at a winery restaurant
- One more tasting, or a stop at the Hunter Valley Gardens
- Return to Sydney in the late afternoon or evening
